Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our Malaysian team. This role is responsible for supporting the firm's digital strategy through effective application development, database management and DevOps automation. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams in both Singapore and Australia offices.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications.
- Involvement in application and web development and for the firm's digital strategy.
- Creating views, functions, and stored procedures.
- Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Maintain and upgrade existing applications.
- Write DevOps and Automation Code/Scripts.
- Provide timely updates for production status and progress of issue resolution.
- Ensuring all internal processes and procedures are adhered to.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and hands-on experience working with SCRUM methodology.
- Knowledge and practical experience in web-based languages, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
- Prior working experience and proficient in one of the following specialisations: TSQL, C# .NET, ASP .NET, Rest API.
- Previous experience working with any front-end framework such as ReactJS would be advantageous.
- Knowledge in tools like Out Systems Service Studio, Integration Studio, Azure API Management or business intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS would be preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a team-based environment as well as being able to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and be proactive.
- Motivated, a quick learner and have the passion for technology.
- Demonstrated collaborative working style, with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- May be required to work after hours and weekends on an ad hoc basis depending on business requirements.
