We are looking for a Backend Intern to support our development team in building, maintaining, and improving backend systems for our software products and custom solutions. This role is perfect for students or fresh grads eager to learn real-world backend development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing backend features, APIs, and services.
- Support integration with databases, third-party services, and internal tools.
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and optimise backend code.
- Work closely with the backend developers and software engineers on ongoing projects.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Learn and work with modern tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements
- Studying or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, PHP, Java, Go, etc. you can specify).
- Familiar with APIs, RESTful services, and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Eager to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a bonus.
- Understanding of microservices or backend architecture
