Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Software Engineer professional with expertise in Core Banking systems. The role involves end-to-end incident, problem, and change management, ensuring system availability and stability, and providing technical support on AS400 platforms. The candidate must bring strong ITIL knowledge and proven experience in managing mission-critical production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Core Banking applications.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution in line with ITIL best practices.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
  • Handle batch monitoring, job scheduling, and performance tuning on AS400/DB2.
  • Support deployment, patching, and production changes with minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for defect fixes, enhancements, and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years (Junior/Mid) or 6 to 9 years (Senior) of experience in Core Banking Application Maintenance/Production Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience in RPG/RPGLE programming on AS400 and/or Cobol.
  • Proficiency with DB2 database management and AS400 OS environment.
  • ITIL certification or proven experience in ITIL processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure production support environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
