About the Job

The individual will provide leadership to the Infrastructure Delivery capability of Great Eastern. The common shared infrastructure services engineer will be part of Infrastructure Delivery responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of core enterprise services that underpin the organization's IT environment. This includes DNS, DHCP, NTP, internal Certificate Authority, Active Directory, and SMTP services. The role ensures these services are reliable, secure, compliant, and available to support business operations and safeguard critical IT services against outages, cyber threats, and operational risks.

The individual will also support governance over disaster recovery, continuity planning, and resilience assurance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, alignment to business objectives, and readiness to respond effectively to incidents.

  • Administer and maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, internal CA/PKI, AD, and SMTP systems.
  • Monitor availability, capacity, and performance of services, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and escalations.
  • Design and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to shared infrastructure services.
  • Contribute to service automation, standardization, and process improvement.
  • Integrate common shared infrastructure services with other infrastructure platforms (cloud, hybrid, security tools).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage configurations of common shared infrastructure services securely to prevent vulnerabilities.
  • Support certificate lifecycle management and security practices.
  • Work closely with technology tower leads (e.g., Compute, Network, Backup, Storage) to recommend design improvements and resilience enhancements.
  • Support infrastructure projects that depend on infrastructure core services availability and reliability.
  • Document architectures, procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Highlights any potential concerns/risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people who

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science / Information Technology, or diploma in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in Financial Services industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
  • Understanding of various Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors effectively. Experience working with multiple internal and external teams (business and IT).
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and strong leadership skills to champion for culture change management initiatives within IT and with interfacing Business stakeholders.
  • Strong and factual communication skills and able to manage situations/conflicts and influence others.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects successfully in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Good analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving. Team player who can lead in brainstorm session with peers to problem solve and make decisions.
  • Preferable to have Project Management Certifications (PMP or PRINCE); Industrial certification (ITIL) is an advantage.
  • Experience and knowledgeable in enterprise architectures and technologies for network, servers, database, storage, and middleware is an advantage.
  • Experience of Technology Infrastructure vendors, and associated product/service offering and industry technology trends as well as IT Security, Risk Management and Security Control will be an advantage.
