(Test & Engineering Departments)
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and improve test processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and robustness across engineering workflows.
- Support automation initiatives, including developing scripts, digital tools, and interactive dashboards for realtime monitoring and reporting.
- Collect, clean, and analyse test data to uncover process insights and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, test, and digitalization teams to drive continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 transformation projects.
- Participate in automation/digitalization solution design, contributing ideas from concept through implementation.
- Document workflows, technical procedures, and project outcomes to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
- Explore and evaluate new technologies, tools, or frameworks that could enhance test engineering capabilities (e.g., ML-based test prediction, intelligent automation, etc.).
Requirements
- Degree student in Computer Science, Mechatronics, IT, Software Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Genuine interest in automation, data analytics, and digital engineering tools, especially in a real industrial environment.
- Basic programming familiarity (Python, VBA, SQL, or similar). Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with curiosity to experiment and learn.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities, able to work with engineers from diverse technical backgrounds.
- Ability to work on-site in Penang (Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan).
