Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer (Backend)

Location: Malaysia (Hybrid)

Working Hours: 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM Malaysia Time

We are currently partnering with a Singapore-based IT services and consulting firm who is looking to hire Software Engineers (Backend) to join their growing team in Malaysia. As a Software Engineer, you will be provided with the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills in multiple cloud technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and build new cloud-based components and integrate them into full-scale products.
Maintain and enhance existing products, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and high-performing.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, architects and project managers in an agile development environment.
Partner with test engineers to troubleshoot and resolve functional or performance issues.
Conduct code reviews, offering constructive and encouraging feedback to uphold code quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
35 years of professional software development experience.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
AWS or GCP certifications are a strong advantage.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in remote/hybrid setups.

Backend Developer

Proficiency in Node.js, with experience in developing RESTful APIs and MongoDB.
Experience in serverless architecture (Node.js and Python).
Experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
