The Role
As a Software Engineering Intern at rooftopIQ, you won't just be fetching coffee or fixing minor CSS bugs. You will be an integral part of our engineering pod, helping us build scalable solutions that analyze and optimize rooftop real estate. Whether we're dealing with geospatial data, computer vision, or slick dashboard interfaces, you'll be shipping code that matters.
What You'll Do
- Feature Development: Collaborate with senior engineers to design, crawl, and deploy new features across our stack.
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex spatial data challenges and optimize our data processing pipelines.
- Testing & QA: Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews to ensure our platform is rock-solid.
- Agile Collaboration: Join daily stand-ups and contribute your perspective to product roadmap discussions.
Who You Are
- The Tech: You have a solid grasp of at least one major language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go) and understand the basics of web frameworks (React, Node, Django, etc.).
- The Mindset: You're a tinkerer who loves to figure out how things work. You aren't afraid to ask why or how can we make this faster
- The Basics: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or you have an equivalent portfolio of personal projects).
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with AWS/GCP, SQL databases, or GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data.
