Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang to improve system availability, scalability, and performance.
• Build and enhance large-scale distributed systems handling high volumes of real-time requests.
• Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
• Perform performance analysis, tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization.
• Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and implement feature requirements.
• Work closely with infrastructure teams on service deployment, scaling, and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including participating in on-call rotations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system incidents and implement long-term fixes.
• Contribute to maintaining high engineering standards and operational excellence.
• Support knowledge sharing and collaboration within the engineering team.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in a distributed systems environment.
• Strong experience with Golang or willingness to work primarily in Golang.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-throughput architectures.
• Experience with system performance monitoring, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience building or running large-scale backend or web services.
• Understanding of networking and systems internals.
• Experience with messaging, streaming systems, or queuing models.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and NoSQL systems (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with Kafka, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and AWS cloud environments.
• Background in mentoring or guiding other engineers.
• Product-focused mindset with the ability to align technical solutions to business needs.
