Ideal Candidate
A detail-driven QA professional with strong manual and automation testing experience, solid Playwright expertise, and the ability to collaborate across product, development, and project teams to improve release quality.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- 5+ years in software testing (manual and/or automated)
- Proven experience designing and executing structured test plans
- Experience in Application Support role is an advantage
- Experience in API testing using Postman or scripting
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Playwright for end-to-end (E2E) web test automation, including cross-browser testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit), API testing, and handling modern web applications
- Expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript (TypeScript strongly preferred) for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable automation scripts
- Solid experience with test automation best practices: Page Object Model (POM), fixtures, auto-waiting mechanisms, tracing, and reducing flakiness
- Proficiency in QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail (or similar test management tools), and defect tracking systems
- Good understanding of version control with Git (branching, pull requests, conflict resolution)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Familiarity with the SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including working in sprint cycles and collaborating with developers and product owners
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for backend data validation and verification
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM) and ability to write robust locators

- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Time management and ability to work in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
- Validate software against functional and technical specifications
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools; work with developers to resolve issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and processes
- Participate in requirements reviews to ensure testability from the outset
- Review product specifications, requirements, and acceptance criteria to provide meaningful feedback
- Identify, record, and document bugs, and review incoming bugs identified by users and stakeholders
- Provide feedback and assistance from a quality and usability perspective to product and development teams
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts is an advantage
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with developers, development analysts, and project managers to align on quality objectives
- Provide clear, data-driven reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and release readiness
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing cycles with delivery timelines
