Job Summary
Craft, design and implement solutions to enable the usage of in-house AI engine in various applications through API script writing, engineering design work and software programming. This person is expected to possess knowledge of using RF & IC-related EDA tools for design work and coding using Python language.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement API integration through Python scripting of in-house AI engine with common RF & IC EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso, CST Studio, Pathwave ADS and more.
- Devise methods and develop extensions, plugins or solutions for integrating with RF & IC EDA tools to run specific design optimization experiments in case of pre-existing EDA tools API limitations.
- Utilize EDA tools to design, simulate and analyse various RF or IC related schematics, layout and 3D models from component level to system level.
- Craft industrial-relevant design experiments to evaluate the performance of in-house AI engine to feedback to R&D team and to package for usage in marketing effort of the company's software products.
- Study and understand client's requirements and propose and implement any custom solutions that is able to satisfy the requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor, Masters or Ph. D. of Engineering in E&E.
Skillsets
RF or IC-related EDA Proficiency
- Had experience using at least one RF or IC-related EDA tools for design, simulation and analysis.

- Mentor Graphics
- Strong knowledge in fundamentals of RF & IC-related designs and its relevant simulations.
- Familiar with studying literatures and papers and redesigning them in local environment.
Software Programming Proficiency
- Strong command of Python language and able to effectively utilize Python for script writing and app development.
- Good knowledge in .net C# WPF for app development and deployment.
- Familiar with working in RHEL and Ubuntu Linux environment.
Solution Engineering
- Possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills and able to creatively come out with solutions to client's problems and requirements.
- Able to find out and interpret client's requirements and propose solutions using in-house resources to address them.
- Possess industry-relevant experiences in the RF/IC design process.
- Good R&D mindset and able to independently troubleshoot design problems and craft optimization experiments using in-house AI engine.
- Possess good understanding to craft application notes, white papers and technological articles for the marketing team to use.
- Demonstrate ability to work and self-learn independently.
- Possess the professional skills and attitude to address client's needs and questions.
- Demonstrate ability to identify and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Demonstrate ability for good time management in handling multiple job scopes.
- Familiar with usage of AI, its potential and its danger.
