Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester with over 3 years of experience in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on testing expertise across various banking applications and workflows, with a strong grasp of Core Banking Systems. Experience with BB (Business Banking), CASA (Current Account Savings Account) and Online Account Opening (OAO) processes is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and scenarios for banking applications.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Ensure thorough understanding of business rules around core banking, CASA products, and digital onboarding.
Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using tools such as JIRA , zephyr, Confluence.
Contribute to test planning, documentation, and reporting.
Participate in UAT support and production validation as needed.
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, specifically within the banking or financial services domain.
Strong understanding of core banking systems, including deposits, accounts, and transactions
Familiarity with CASA workflows and Online Account Opening (OAO) modules
Proficiency with test management tools like JIRA, Zephyr
Solid knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (optional, but a plus)
ISTQB Certification or equivalent testing credential
Experience with API testing using Postman
