Software tester lead - Banking

At least 7 - 9 years of working experience in Banking/Financial Institution environment including 5 years in a lead or management position in areas relevant to testing and possesses business acumen and test planning abilities

At least 5-8 years of experience in leading large IT program teams in Enterprise Systems related domains in testing areas

Has experience to lead and manage a team of Testers

Has experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques and testing tools for functional and non-functional

ISTQB - CTFL Certification is mandatory

Mandatory knowledge on Jira and Confluence

Familiar with STLC

Experience working in Waterfall and Agile project

Expected to be available to work extended hours, when necessary, to support critical delivery timelines and ensure timely completion of project deliverables

Job Description

Support getting the clarity on testing requirements

Provide support during testing escalations

Assist in Test Manager in Test Management activities

Coordinate Test Data preparation

Develop daily/weekly test progress report

Facilitate in defect triage meetings, classification of defects and track defects until closure.

Facilitate communication between different stakeholder teams of project.

Work closely with Project Manager/ Test Manager in identifying the potential risks and challenges

Ensure quality of deliverables by review all the Testing Artifacts

Provide operational / day to day status reports to Test Manager, ITPM, Business PM

Ensure compliance to the mandated test processes, standards and methodologies

Interacting with IT team for resolving environment related issues and any support requirements

Ensure accurate and timely update of Defect information and defect status in defect tracking tool (JIRA)

Provide guidance to project team to use JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr as bank's test management tool
