The Opportunity

As a Solar Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in bringing residential solar projects to life, from post-sales handover to system design and site execution.

You will be the bridge between our sales and operations teams, ensuring that every confirmed deal is translated into a well-designed, executable solar installation. You will also act as a technical advisor to the team, elevating overall solar expertise across the company.

This is primarily an office-based role. While occasional site visits may be required to support quality checks or complex installations, day-to-day work is conducted from our office.

Your Role

• Work closely with our sales team to take ownership of projects after verbal confirmation of sale, ensuring smooth transition into execution
• Oversee and manage drone operators and site survey processes for residential solar installations
• Design residential solar PV systems using relevant software and tools
• Review and complete pre-construction work orders, ensuring all required technical details are accurate and actionable for our sub-contractors
• Act as a technical advisor to the sales team, supporting them on solar-related queries and customer discussions
• Support proposal generation and system design
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and installation teams to ensure project readiness
• Continuously improve internal processes for site surveys, design workflows, and project execution

Your Credentials

• Minimum Diploma in an Electrical Engineering or related field
• Prior experience in residential solar installations is a plus
• Working knowledge of solar PV system design and configurations
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
