Job description

· To take off/measurement on preliminary drawings, tender drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings

· To check quantities and price comparison and clarify with relevant suppliers and/or contractors/NSC and make recommendations to the Management

· To arrange site valuation with contractor and consultant

· To follow up with the relevant consultant/client for monthly interim certificates/payment

· Coordinate with the project manager, site representatives, and consultants for relevant details required for final measurement, daywork claims, contractual claims etc.

· To evaluate Variation Order works / Final Claim / Final Account statement, finalize account with relevant Consultants/client

· To ensure the company's internal processes and procedures.

· Coordinate a detailed project handover for smooth project implementation.

· To manage all pre and post-contract works including preparation of tenders documents, cost planning, budget estimates, evaluation of tenders and preparation of main contract or nominated subcontracts.

· To attend to take off, and conduct site evaluations and measurements.

· To review and finalize all project-related claims, variation order works and final accounts.

· To seek out quotations from sub-contractors, suppliers, vendors and comparison schedules.

· Attend all project meetings.

· To perform any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.

· Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

· Able to handle tight deadlines and schedules.

· Has good communication and computer skills.


Requirements

  • Possess at least a degree in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • At least 1 or 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Experience in the Solar Industry is an advantage.
  • To take off/measurement on preliminary drawings, tender drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
