About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect / SAP Solution IT Expert with strong expertise in SAP Product and REACH Compliance, SAP Product Safety (formerly SAP EHSM), and/or SAP S/4HANA for Product Compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining solution architecture for global and local IT solutions within the Product Sustainability & Compliance area. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders, Product Owners, external consultants, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable technical solutions.
The role combines solution architecture, technical consulting, stakeholder management, and cross-solution architecture, with a strong focus on SAP Product Compliance and Product Safety processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and communicate high-level solution architectures that meet current and future business requirements.
- Translate business and technical requirements into effective and sustainable SAP solutions.
- Lead and support requirements gathering, feasibility studies, solution design, and architecture decisions.
- Define and maintain as-is and to-be solution architectures and perform impact assessments.
- Specify solution architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, technology roadmaps, standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Lead cross-solution architecture activities and ensure compatibility between existing and planned solution components.
- Consult business and IT stakeholders on technology selection, technical feasibility, process flows, functionality gaps, and solution options.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Product Managers in a technical consulting capacity.
- Lead and facilitate alignment meetings and discussions with business and IT stakeholders.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external consultants and developers supporting change management, incident management, and DevOps processes.
- Support solutions throughout their lifecycle, including technical implementations, maintenance, and change management.
- Contribute to project planning and implementation activities within the area of technical expertise.
- Support the definition of testing strategies for System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, ITIL processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and relevant architecture standards.
- Maintain appropriate technical and architectural documentation.
- Support IT landscape and technology lifecycle planning, including assessing and planning required changes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, methods, and solution functionality.
- Coach and share knowledge with colleagues and technical teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional IT experience in relevant SAP modules and solutions.
- Very good application knowledge of one or more of the following:
- SAP Product and REACH Compliance
- SAP Product Safety (formerly SAP EHSM)
- SAP S/4HANA for Product Compliance
- Broad experience with EHSM / Product Safety / Product Compliance processes and the related regulatory environment.
- Strong understanding of SAP Material Master and its relevance to Product Compliance processes.
- Participation in at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementation projects in a role comparable to Solution Architect or SAP Solution IT Expert.
- Proven experience in solution architecture, solution design, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to lead and facilitate alignment meetings with business and IT stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of SAP solution landscapes and cross-functional integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural, and distributed team.
- Based in Europe or Canada.

- Knowledge of ITIL-based incident and service management processes.
Additional Information
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–15% of the time, including international travel.
- Working hours are primarily aligned with European office hours, with occasional flexibility required to collaborate with colleagues in California and India.
