Role Description The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and capturing high-quality images for physician review. Responsibilities include evaluating images for diagnostic quality, documenting findings accurately, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support clinical decision-making. The Sonographer will maintain equipment, follow infection control and safety protocols, and ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout the examination. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Pulai Springs Healthcare Centre in Johor Bahru, requiring consistent presence during scheduled shifts and occasional flexibility for clinical needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine and Radiology, with knowledge of diagnostic imaging principles and clinical workflows.
  • Relevant certification or eligibility with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Relevant certification or eligibility with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Competence in performing Vascular ultrasound studies and interpreting vascular imaging for preliminary assessment.
  • Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in hospital or clinic-based ultrasound services, preferably in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Excellent patient communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and maintain patient comfort.
  • Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and ability to follow clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training, adhere to ethical standards, and work effectively in a diverse team.
