Procurement Executive

Job Summary

The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing raw materials, packaging, and services to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely supply, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and strong supplier relationships while adhering to company policies and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and production-related services
  • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure accuracy of pricing, quantity, and delivery terms
  • Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted production schedules

Supplier & Cost Management

  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
  • Conduct price benchmarking and cost-saving initiatives
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and reliability

Inventory & Planning Support

  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Monitor lead times and follow up on deliveries to avoid production delays
  • Support stock replenishment planning and minimize excess or obsolete inventory

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements
  • Maintain proper purchasing documentation, supplier records, and contracts
  • Support audits and internal reviews related to procurement activities

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production, Sales, QA/QC and Finance teams
  • Assist in resolving material quality or delivery issues with suppliers
  • Support new product development (NPD) sourcing when required

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience purchasing raw materials, packaging, or production-related items is highly preferred

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and inventory control
  • Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
