In this role at CelcomDigi, you will be responsible for managing end to end sourcing process to support the procurement of goods and services at the best value. This role involves identifying potential suppliers, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts and ensuring the procurement process aligns with company standards. As a Sourcing Specialist, you are to work closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure supplier performance meets expectations in terms of cost, quality and delivery.
Sourcing Execution
- Analyze and validate sourcing requirements from Business Users and Category Managers.
- Implement category management sourcing strategies including deploying category-specific actions, supporting target development and delivery saving targets.
- Responsible for preparation, execution and analysis of biddings and negotiations for the respective category within the defined guideline of CelcomDigi's procurement processes and manual.
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability and sustainability.
- Drive cost savings, negotiate favorable terms and support long term value through sourcing strategies.
Internal Collaboration with Cross Functional Team
- Develop shared goals and objectives to strengthen internal collaboration.
- Close collaboration with Category Management team to stay align with the strategy and targets, including Procurement Operations team for continuous improvement of sourcing related process not limited to IDD and contract cataloguing.
- Close collaboration with Contract Management team to draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts.
- Liaison with Tender Committee Secretariat in coordinating tender schedules, documents the meeting minutes / circulation of TC decks for approval.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Develop and build communication strategies and strong business acumens to establish trust and open communication with stakeholders.
- Managing stakeholder expectation.
Supplier Relationship Management and Negotiation
- Identifying, developing and nurturing strong partnership with key suppliers
- Continuous collaboration with SRM team to monitor and improve in supplier performance.
Compliance and Sustainability
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures as well as external regulations
Requirements
- Min 3-5 years of core sourcing experience.
- Strong negotiation skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools e.g. Coupa, SAP
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost optimization and supplier management
- Deep understanding of procurement processes including RFQs, RFPs, tenders and contract management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, including experience in a matrix organization and managing ambiguity.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM or similar are a plus.
