Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher located in Petaling Jaya. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans, facilitating early intervention programmes, and collaborating with specialists to address the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting structured learning sessions, fostering communication and motor skill development, and preparing children for transition to mainstream education. Additionally, the role emphasizes creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge in Special Education and working with children with Disabilities
  • Proven ability in Teaching and skill development for children of middle school age
  • Strong Communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • Experience in designing individualized education plans and conducting intervention programs
  • Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet diverse learning needs
  • Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting children with special needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Educaton, psychology, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus
