We utilize teaching techniques such as play-based learning and structured programs to enhance communication, motor skills, and overall readiness for mainstream education.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Special Education Teacher role located in Petaling Jaya. The Special Education Teacher will design and implement individualized education plans, deliver customized learning experiences, and use various teaching strategies to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Responsibilities include fostering communication skills, improving motor development, observing and assessing progress, collaborating with the team, and preparing young learners for mainstream education. Administrative tasks related to lesson planning and documentation will also be required.
Qualifications
- Experience in Special Education and working with children with Disabilities
- Proficiency in Teaching techniques, particularly for early learners and middle school-age children
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, team members, and students
- Knowledge of child development, intervention strategies, and preparation for mainstream education
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to fostering a nurturing educational environment
- A degree or certification in Special Education, Psychology , or a related field
- Background in working within a structured or play-based learning environment is a plus
