Overview
ROLE AT A GLANCE:
The Ethics and Compliance Supervisor is responsible to support the Regional Ethics and Compliance Senior Manager (RECSM) to develop and implement global, regional and country policies and programs in the APAC region. Under the supervision of RECSM, this role will act as a leader as business partner, to proactively advise on key compliance risks, provide training and communication to ensure that the region complies with Herbalife's FCPA policies and procedures, code of conduct, global & local policies, laws & regulations and Herbalife's strong commitment to ethics & compliance. The supervisor is also expected to act as a proactive advisor to support RECSM to promote culture of ethics and compliance with relevant laws and company policies and procedures; development and implementation of the company policies and procedures and corporate's ethics and compliance program; evaluate ethics and compliance issues/concerns within the organization; assist in special compliance projects; ensure coordination with other departments to align compliance activities; and detect and deter violations of laws and applicable regulations, FCPA policies and procedures, Code of Conduct as well as relevant company policies and procedures. Also work extensively with Anti-corruption due diligence of third parties and mitigating actions.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The incumbent's role has evolved significantly beyond the original scope of providing desk‑based support to the Sr. Manager, Compliance – APAC. The position now requires a far deeper level of analytical capability, independent judgment, and direct interaction with business stakeholders across the region. This shift reflects not only increased workload, but a clear elevation in responsibility, complexity, and risk impact.
Expanded Scope and Responsibilities
The enhanced role now demands advanced analytical work and decision‑support responsibilities, including:
- Risk Analysis of Third Parties Conducting detailed evaluations of third‑party partners across APAC to identify ABAC and compliance risks, going beyond data collection to interpreting findings and assessing risk severity.
- Assessment of Sponsorships and Donations Independently reviewing and analyzing sponsorship and donation requests—including those with government touchpoints—to identify potential red flags and ensure alignment with compliance policies.
- Actionable Risk Mitigation Recommendations Developing recommendations to mitigate risks identified during third‑party due diligence, sponsorship reviews, and interactions with government‑linked entities. This includes advising on enhanced controls, remediation actions, or risk‑based approval conditions. Conducting ongoing monitoring of transactions for policy non-compliance.
- Regional Risk Analysis (e.g., Vietnam and other high‑risk jurisdictions) Conducting contextual and jurisdiction‑specific risk assessments, particularly for high‑risk markets, and advising on trends or emerging risks to support regional compliance strategy.
- Evaluation and Advisory for Key Projects including internal investigations Reviewing specific business initiatives, including government sponsorships, providing informed advisory inputs to ensure compliant execution, and conduct and/or support internal investigations for employee misconduct.
- Stakeholder Engagement Across Business Groups Working proactively with cross‑functional stakeholders to discuss identified risks, align on mitigation actions, and ensure implementation of required controls. This reflects a more consultative and collaborative role than previously required.
- Communication, Training and Alignment with Business Leaders Communicating compliance insights and risk‑based recommendations effectively to business teams, securing agreement on actions, and ensuring follow‑through. This requires higher communication skills, influence, and confidence in decision-making.
- Supporting the Privacy Department's needs in APAC. Assisting with regional privacy assessments, data‑handling reviews, and coordination of compliance activities related to data protection requirements.
Increased Skill and Expertise Requirements
The enhanced responsibilities require a deeper understanding of Anti‑Bribery and Anti‑Corruption (ABAC) regulations, complex risk interpretation abilities, and more mature stakeholder management capabilities. The incumbent must apply elevated analytical judgment and operate with greater autonomy, reflecting a substantive growth in both role demands and expected competencies
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
Education
- Bachelors degree, higher education is preferred
Experience
- 5-7 years
- Legal or finance background is preferred. Experience in the Healthcare Industry or Direct Selling Industry is preferred.
Skills/Certifications
- High standards of ethics.
- Strong substantive knowledge of Anti-Corruption legal and enforcement environment. Also strong knowledge of Anti-corruption due diligence and mitigating actions preferred.
- Fluent in verbal and written English and Russian
- Strong presentation, networking and influencing skills;
- Strong collaboration skills. Be able to work with all levels of staff.
- Confident in facing challenges and maturity to tackle and manage conflicts, being resilient under high pressure.
- Proactive, self-motivated and results-oriented
- Passionate in supporting the organization's commitment to a strong ethics & compliance culture.
- Some business related travel required within the region.
