Job Summary

Responsible for the analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with the participating hotels rooms and function space inventory. Assist in the preparation of competitive analysis and other supporting documents for presentation at sales strategy meetings. Assist in managing the daily tasks for the property including managing the 5step one yield advisor screens. Perform all revenue management month end reporting and auditing and provide forward looking information for the purposes of forecasting and targeting need areas.Assist with system maintenance including but not limited to, monitoring forecasted demand, updating group forecasting and running daily system checks for preparation of forecasts and critiques of sales strategy effectiveness. Develops/utilizes analytical tools and systems toward the goal of maximizing total hotel revenue and profit. Ensures that all rates, packages are loaded on all distribution platforms and audited regularly.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Responsible for preparation of daily reports, sales strategy packets, creation of rate codes and the 5-step OY advisor process.
  • Assist the designated revenue leader to manage revenue, profit, and demand related data associated with rooms and function space
  • Prepares month end reports, share findings and actively involves in strategy development for improvement of business performance
  • Manage room authorizations, rates, and restrictions based on OY recommendations
  • Utilize Marriott's Revenue Mgt. systems and tools to ensure that revenue and profit are maximized
  • Assists revenue leader with data to perform business evaluation and revenue analysis functions.
  • Ensure that the hotel's sales strategies are effectively implemented in the MARSHA systems
  • Accountable for weekly rooms and function space forecasts and sales strategy meetings in absence of the revenue leader of the hotel.
  • Accountable for monitoring the force sell and other MARSHA related concerns for participating properties
  • Check distribution channels for hotel positioning and information accuracy.
  • Assist in audits and updates the peers on findings in timely manner.
  • Accurately generate, process and update all property and revenue management reports and serve as primary source for reporting and analytical needs of the revenue leader of the properties.

  • Acts as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education And Experience

A degree in a relevant business discipline preferred or demonstration of equivalent work experience.

Minimum 1.5 years of experience in revenue management/reservation, preferably within the hospitality industry
