About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist, Trade Processing to join our team at RHB. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of trade finance transactions, ensuring full compliance with internal policies, international trade standards, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate smooth transaction processing and uphold operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Process a range of trade finance products including Letters of Credit (LCs), Import/Export Bills, Bank Guarantees, and Standby LCs
  • Verify trade documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with international standards such as UCP, URC, and ISBP
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Relationship Managers, Compliance, and Legal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless transaction flow
  • Liaise with external parties such as correspondent banks and clients on trade finance operations and related inquiries
  • Monitor and track ongoing trade transactions, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and escalate potential risks or issues related to trade processing
  • Maintain accurate records and proper documentation for all trade finance activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance trade processing procedures and systems
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal control policies

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in trade finance, banking operations, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance products and operations
  • Familiarity with international trade rules and standards (UCP, URC, ISBP)
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards, including BNM guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
