This department takes a holistic approach to managing client accounts and projects, ensuring seamless communication, strategy execution, and project delivery. Key resources fall under the direct purview of this department - time, people, and money. Common sense is a general requirement, but what sets our brand of Client and Account Management Team apart is our heavy use of analytics, science, and automation to aid our decision-making and projecting possible risks in the feasibility of C27 projects and retainers.

Requirements

  • At least 5-6 years of experience in advertising account management, including managing teams , preferably in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value.
  • Positive and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Advanced competency on project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising industry and the ability to stay up-to-date with trends and developments
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned clients.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Lead the development and maintenance of strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for more significant accounts.
  • Understand clients advertising needs, objectives, and challenges to develop effective campaigns.
  • Lead collaboration with internal teams, including creative, media, and vendors, to ensure the highest level of campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of budgets, timelines, and action plans, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations to clients, articulating strategic insights, creative solutions, and campaign results effectively.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate this knowledge into advertising strategies.
  • Create and present detailed, strategic progress and performance reports, providing high-level insights and recommendations to drive client success and satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management

  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships and provide in-depth consultancy with regards to the services provided.
  • Deeply understand client needs, requirements, and project constraints (schedule, scope, resources) and ensure they are clearly communicated to the internal team.
  • Proactively manage client expectations regarding work scope, deliveries, and any limitations to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure client approvals and sign-offs are being achieved/received according to timeline, avoiding the delay / overrun of work deliveries.
  • Lead and enhance collaboration with internal teams, including creative and media, to ensure the successful execution of complex advertising campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and developments, and strategically incorporate this knowledge into our advertising strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and collaborate with the Associate Account director/Account Director to secure new advertising accounts.

Management Leadership

  • Play a significant role in supporting the Associate Account Director in operational achievements.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in evaluating project work.
  • Lead the onboarding and mentorship of new account managers and project managers.
  • Offer innovative advice and solutions to clients and team members based on extensive industry knowledge.
  • Ensure the organization, maintenance, and oversight of project standards and guidelines.
  • Deliver detailed insights on project briefs and schedules.

Resource Planning and Management

  • Plan and manage the team's workload on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring a balance of workload across.
  • Plan project teams allocation for proposals and new projects, targeting 6 months visibility.
  • Ensure resource availability by utilising tools such as Teamwork.
  • Ensure milestones are created and updated as the project moves along.

Campaign Execution

  • Oversee the execution of digital and social media campaigns.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Ensure campaigns are on-brand and aligned with client messaging.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on campaign execution and analysis.

Vendor Management

  • Build a comprehensive database and maintain strong relationships with all vendors.
  • Negotiate strategically with vendors on payment terms and discounts to optimize margins.
  • Ensure C27 keeps a healthy database of vendors at all times.
  • Lead efforts to ensure vendor workflow and output are of the highest quality and efficiency.
  • Lead the coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for seamless project execution.

Platform Management

  • Ensure all projects are broken down to milestones and tasks via Teamwork.
  • Reducing lead time between brief to task assignment targeting
  • Manage and nurture low level data to aid into department level reporting under performance marketing platform/dashboard.
  • Maintain capacity and productivity report and ensure accuracy.
  • Avoid repetitive work, optimise and automate processes wherever necessary.

  • Client Growth and Retention

    • Identify and strategically pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to existing clients.
    • Actively work to expand the agency's portfolio of services with each client, leveraging deeper client relationships.
    • Ensure consistently high client satisfaction and retention rates through proactive management and relationship building.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior clients, deeply understanding their needs and objectives.
    • Collaborate with clients to define and align clear campaign goals and KPIs, ensuring strategic outcomes.

    Client Growth and Retention

    • To work closely (when selected) to execute & drive internal special projects as initiated by the CEO.
    • To ensure the brand image (visually) of C27 is consistent throughout while working with the internal branding team.

    Operational Excellence (On time, on budget)

  • Champion delivery and develop a systematic, methodical and pragmatic approach to your own work and the projects you manage to be delivered in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams to design, develop and implement website development projects.
  • Ensure internal team members execute a workflow in accordance with the C27 Playbook.
  • General targets:

  • 24-hour response time to Business Development

  • Monitor and ensure expenditures for projects are kept at amounts as agreed in annual and project-level budgets.
  • Responsible for projects to be developed on time, within scope and budget.
  • Monitor and ensure projects are always within determining profit margins.
  • Contribute to the preparation and communication of project-level margin updates on a bi-weekly basis to relevant stakeholders.
  • To be able to understand the client's scope of work and resource requirements (including but not limited to internal manpower and third party services) for projects.
  • To ensure that all vendor financial documents adhere to the C27 financial processes.
  • Implement project management best practices to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Other Responsibilities
