POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate local accounting records, including book adjustments,
memos, and finance reports, while ensuring compliance with GAAP changes and statutory requirements. It
coordinates statutory audits with external auditors, supports tax audits, and prepares safety expense
reports for EHS. The position also manages JV governance activities, assists with consolidated income tax
reporting, and provides technical support for local reporting systems. Effective collaboration with internal
and external stakeholders is essential to deliver timely, compliant, and reliable financial information for the
organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
This position is accountable for the following end results:
1) Local book maintaining
Maintain local book adjustments (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
Maintain related job aids and keep them current with GAAP changes.
Generate local finance reports and other required ledgers.
Maintain the local reporting system (Formware)download SAP data, maintain new GLAs, etc.
Maintain local book memos (including US booking memos and other significant localbook items).
2) Statutory audit
Coordinate with Deloitte on statutory audits.
Provide audit reports and financial statements to BDS, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
3) Other (controls & reporting support)
Perform Cadency reconciliations for local book accounts.
Support for tax and other governmental audits (preparing for the documentation and followup inquires).
Prepare the Safety expense report for EHS.
4) JV governance
Support JV partners requests and special audits.
Provide BDS/JV GMs with input on accounting treatment, auditor selection, and dividend distribution inquiries.
Support BDS and Field Accountants on local reporting and ledgers.
5) Support on tax compliance
Support local reporting and GL for tax audits or inquiries.
Provide TAFrelated calculations.
6) Consolidated income tax (StattoTax difference)
Coordinate with Field Accountants to produce stattotax differences for the Income Tax accounting team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CICPA, or equivalent).
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting or finance, with hands-on exposure to local book maintenance,
statutory audits, and financial reporting. Big 4 auditor experience is a plus.
Experience supporting tax audits and JV governance is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Solid understanding of GAAP, statutory audit processes, and local accounting practices.
Proficiency in SAP, China GAAP reporting and Excel; familiarity with financial reporting systems.
Competencies

Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
Commitment to compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial information.
Language
Fluent in Mandarin (can read and write Chinese); business-level English for internal and external communications.
