POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is part of Alcon's Human Resources function, a team that collaborates across the business to shape company culture, manage talent, align associates to our purpose, and support associate development to help our people and the world see brilliantly.

The Sr. Associate I, Master Data Management (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for serving as the first point of contact for Alcon associates and managers globally, providing guidance on HR topics and escalating complex issues while ensuring follow-up throughout the employee lifecycle

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resolve day-to-day tickets via Service Now and Workday transactions, ensuring timely updates and system accuracy.
  • Handle client requests with politeness and detailed responses.
  • Process HR lifecycle changes: employment verifications, personnel file administration, new hire processes, employee job and data changes, onboarding, referrals and other processes, while following global and local processes and compliance guidelines and maintaining confidentiality of employee data and compliance
  • Share ideas for continuous improvement and seek guidance on forming solutions.
  • Familiarize yourself with Root Cause analysis with support and guidance.
  • Support the creation and consistent update of clear documentation, including SOPs, policies, and guidelines.
  • Committing to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and proposing solutions.
  • Solving problems using root cause analysis.
  • Prioritizing tasks and managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Organizing, monitoring, and enhancing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Handling client requests within agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Engaging and contributing to team, regional, and global projects.
  • Build relationships and collaborate effectively within and across teams, supporting and respecting each other.
  • Collaborating effectively within and across teams, sharing knowledge and support.

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

  • Having a good understanding of HR operations, preferably in an HR Shared Services function.
  • Experience in using HR systems and ticketing tool, for example: SAP, Workday and ServiceNow
  • Strong administrative ability, managing a complex and varied workload
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and inquisitive nature who can anticipate and pre-empt problems.
  • Possess problem solving, planning, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Process-orientation and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service orientation
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin Language (To support China, HK, and Taiwan). Proficient in Japanese Language would be an added advantage (To support China and Japan)
