About This Role
Looking for an experienced Foreign Exchange Trader to hedge our FX currency flows in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region. In this role, the FX Trader will be responsible for ensuring that Ria secures the best market pricing through multiple trade execution platforms. The candidate will be expected to develop strong relationships with our partners as well as with Ria's global FX Trading and Revenue Management teams. This individual will also perform research and analysis, formulate and develop trading strategies, and execute FX trades based upon those strategies
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute daily spot and forward FX trades.
- Supervise Junior traders.
- Manage currency flows and exposures as needed.
- Provide Market information and guidance to the local Management Team.
- Negotiate foreign exchange rates with partners, developing strong relationships.
- Create daily reports on trading activities, currency positions,currency analysis, etc.
- Generate and implement long term trade ideas / hedge strategies.
Position Requirements
- At least 5+ years of active trading experience in foreign exchange markets.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Flexibility regarding hours and days of work.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrated presentation abilities required.
- Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg, Trading Platforms, skilled with Microsoft Office 365.
- Must be organized, efficient, and comfortable communicating with management and external counterparties.
