Job Description

Job Summary

Enovix is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager to lead our Advanced ManufacturingTooling team in Penang. The candidate will lead a team of engineers to enhance and improve the tooling in our automated assembly lines used in the production of our unique 3D cell architecture. Additionally, they will be responsible for CAPEX planning, budgeting, and revenue control for all future factory tools and equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product design, R&D, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, procurement & supply chain, sales and finance. You will be responsible for the tooling integration and NPI for new and existing products and as a leader in the team assist with managing complex equipment program schedules, tracking progress against these plans, and ensuring the company hits our targets. There will additionally be interaction with tool equipment and automation system integration vendors to ensure programs stay on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing lines by incorporating design fixes and improvements for tooling issues.
  • Work with existing and new OEM's to implement design changes and upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for manufacturing automation equipment, including scope development, prototyping, and fabrication.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a Tooling Engineering team by providing guidance on automation projects and ensuring collaboration across departments.
  • Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, evaluate their relevance to manufacturing processes, and lead the integration of innovative solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, and R&D teams to align advanced manufacturing strategies with product development and business objectives.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that advanced manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identify opportunities for efficiency gains and implement best practices.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to optimize the supply chain and ensure successful implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of advanced manufacturing initiatives.

The AME Sr. Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the future of manufacturing processes, requiring a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS Degree Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related
  • Hands-on experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and complex automation projects
  • Familiarity with automation components and tools including PLCs, pneumatics, motors, digital and analog IO, temperature controllers, and CAD
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, highly creative environment
  • 10+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
