Staff Engineer, Engineering

Job Description

Oversee the operation, maintenance, enhancement, cost optimization, and project execution related to the plant's Electrical, Fire Protection, and Public Address (PA) systems including contracted services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and provide technical guidance to a team of technicians in troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance with facilities reliability and quality standards.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and insurance representatives to facilitate annual Fire Certificate inspections and audits.
• Develop and maintain all necessary specifications, operating procedures, and work instructions, ensuring documentation is current and properly managed.
• Ensure full compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and other applicable certifications.
• Collaborate with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team to assess and mitigate safety hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Team to establish manufacturing equipment and utility requirements.
• Breakdown Issue/crisis (upset) management at off working hours, weekend, and public holiday.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Degree Holder in Engineering - Electrical & Electronic
• Candidate with competency certificate certified by professional body will be an added advantage.

REQUIRED:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and a team player.
• Working experience in clean room environment will be an added advantage.
• Hard working, self-driven, integrity, good communication skill and has a teamwork capability.

PREFERRED:

• Candidate with minimum 5 to 7 yearsworking experience.

SKILLS:

• Expertise in Electrical, Fire Protection, and Public Address systems, capable of ensuring safe, reliable operations through strong technical knowledge, regulatory compliance, problem-solving abilities, and effective cross-functional coordination.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Power Point, Excel, and Word required. Proficiency in AutoCAD or related software is highly desired.
• Dynamic & resourceful person with good analytical and interpersonal skills.
