Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Stewarding Supervisor at Penang Marriott Hotel, located in Georgetown. The Stewarding Supervisor will oversee back-of-house cleaning and sanitation operations related to food preparation and service. Duties include supervising team members, maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring proper storage and handling of kitchen equipment, and coordinating waste management. The role also involves conducting team training for workplace safety and compliance with food service regulations, as well as supporting the overall efficiency of Food & Beverage operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Experience in Food Preparation and knowledge of Food Service operations
- Excellent Communication skills to coordinate with staff and other departments
- Experience or understanding of Food & Beverage operations
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a hospitality environment
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Previous experience in stewarding or a similar role is an advantage
- Proficiency in languages spoken in the region would be a plus
