Role Description

This is a contract role for a Storage Engineer located on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Storage Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining storage systems, troubleshooting issues, implementing storage solutions, and ensuring efficient storage replication. The engineer will collaborate with the IT team to optimize storage infrastructure and support data management activities.

1. Replication & tuning tools e.g. ShadowImage, Hitachi Universal Replicator, Tuning Manager
2. NetApp experience especially with SnapMirror
3. SAN/NAS protocols FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS
4. Experience with Brocade/Cisco switches zoning, trunking, firmware upgrades
5. OS knowledge Linux & Windows
6. Relevant certifications preferred

• Storage Management and Storage skills
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Storage Solutions and Replication
• Ability to work collaboratively with the IT team
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Relevant certifications or training in storage technologies is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
