Job Description

Job Summary

  • As a self-sufficient strategist who can independently own and drive strategy development for mid-sized accounts and core brand campaigns, you will own and drive the strategy development for a range of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Collaborate with your Strategic Planning team to co-develop comprehensive, integrated brand and communications strategies for existing clients and new business pitches.
  • Consistently update your knowledge of touchpoints and media trends, with a strong pulse on consumer behaviour and culture to contribute meaningfully to strategy and creative discussions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and present strategy decks that provide clear, insight-lead solutions to client briefs and business challenges.
  • Collect data and analyse it through relevant quantitative and/or qualitative methods and tools (e.g. brand, positioning, competitors, consumers and more.)
  • Plan, organise, and lead research such as online surveys and focus groups to translate findings into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Actively collaborate with creative and client servicing teams throughout campaigns and new business pitches
  • Lead or co-lead briefing sessions, asking the right questions and provide meaningful insight to sharpen the strategic direction from the outset.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Planning Directors in developing strategic solutions that address client business challenges and campaign ideation for current clients and new business pitches.
  • Develop strategies for small to mid-size campaigns spanning ATL, digital, social media and content strategy, BTL, and activation programmes, with a clear rationale for channel and approach.
  • Monitor campaign performance and translate results into strategic learnings that inform future briefs.

Skills and requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in strategic planning within advertising, branding or integrated marketing communications.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategy for campaigns across ATL, BTL, and/or digital touchpoints
  • Ability to think beyond conventional solutions and bring a distinct, insightful strategic point of view.
  • Able to gather data methodically, analyse information strategically to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Asks the right questions, driven by genuine curiosity about business, people, culture and trends.
  • Ability to develop strategic flow/thinking and translate it into clear, compelling presentation decks (PowerPoint or Google Slides).
  • Confident in presenting ideas, communicating strategic rationale and articulating thoughts clearly to internal teams and clients.
  • Comfortable stepping out of comfort zones and actively contributing in discussions, presentations and collaborative environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including creative, strategy, client servicing and management teams.
  • Familiar with AI platforms such as Claude, Gemini and Perplexity as tools to support and enhance strategic work is an advantage.
  • Previous experience using data and research tools such as GWI, YouGov, Nielsen or similar platforms is a plus!
  • Possess strong communications skills.
