Job Overview
The main target of this position is to develop the commodity strategics algin with the business objectives, mainly focus on the Category of Electronics & Cables including Cabel, Cabel Assembly, Connectors, PCB, PCBA, Active, Passive, Resin and Metals to support the fast-growing business unit Digital Data Networks business in SEA region (Southeast Asia).
Job Responsibilities
- Focus on the Category of Electronics & Cables including Cable, Cable Assembly, Connectors, PCB, PCBA, Active, Passive, Resin and Metals to support the fast-growing business unit Digital Data Networks in SEA
- Monitor global market trends, supply-demand dynamics, geopolitics, commodity price fluctuations, etc.
- Develop commodity strategies aligned with business objectives
- Strategy alignment with business units to support the business growth needs
- Should cost analysis and price negotiation
- Supplier assessment and define supply risk mitigation solutions
- Identify and develop new suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams and business units
- Optimize the supplier base to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Conduct benchmark RFQ and should cost model to analyze the cost competitiveness for cost improvement
- Negotiate master purchasing contracts, Quality Assurance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consignment/VMI/CMI contracts, etc., with suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives together business units through comprehensive cost analysis, market data evaluation, and fact-based negotiation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts and support business units to achieve project KPIs including savings, lead time reduction, minimum order quantity optimization, dual sourcing, and localization.
- Lead quarterly supplier scorecard reviews to improve supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and underperforming suppliers; implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure continuous improvement
- Ensure all the KPI on track including delivery, cost, quality, supplier rationalization, etc., timely escalation if any GAP identified
- Collaborate with local operation team and provide real-time support
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or above, Engineering background is preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong negotiation skills
- 8+ years of sourcing experience in Electronics area
- Procurement experience in Cable category is a plus
- Global/regional procurement experience working in a global company.
- Technical background is preferred
- Proficiency in office software
- Proven ability to lead projects, coordinate, problem-solving, and make decisive decisions to achieve results
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and cross-functional skills
- Understand global markets, collaborate effectively with global teams
- Understand the manufacturing processes, especially on Cables, Resin, Metal and PCB/PCBA
- Ability to deep dive the value chain from upstream to downstream.
- Knowledge of global electronics & cables sourcing
- Excellent communication skills at all levels with key stakeholders in both commercial and technical roles
