About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Strategy & Governance to act as the key bridge between our client's trading business and their technology teams. In this role, you will ensure that all technology investments and digital projects are strategically aligned with business goals, secure, and compliant with corporate standards.
You will oversee the planning, governance, and execution of the trading technology portfolio, ensuring every initiative delivers real business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Tech Strategy: Develop and maintain the technology roadmap for trading platforms to support business growth and innovation.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee the project portfolio, prioritize initiatives based on business value, and manage budget allocation and ROI analysis.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all digital projects adhere to governance frameworks, enterprise architecture standards, and security policies.
- Cybersecurity & Risk: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to protect trading systems, manage access controls, and mitigate digital risks.
- Reporting: Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards to keep leadership informed on portfolio performance and strategic progress.
- Vendor Management: Govern relationships with technology vendors, ensuring they deliver value and comply with risk management practices.
Who We Are Looking For
- Industry Experience (Mandatory): Candidates must have experience in energy trading, commodities trading, or financial services trading environments. Domain knowledge of trading operations is critical for this role.
- Experience: 812 years in technology strategy, governance, or digital transformation.
- Must-Have Skills: IT strategy, portfolio governance, stakeholder management, and executive reporting.
- Good-to-Have Skills: Cybersecurity awareness, enterprise architecture alignment, and financial modeling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or relevant certifications like TOGAF, COBIT are a plus).
