Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role to effectively co-manage the portfolio of submarine cable investments to maximize benefits to TIME from a technical, operational and financial perspective. Act as relationship manager for services and /or deliverables towards submarine cable project or consortiums. Support Subsea Team for new projects and proposals.
The Work Life:
- Ensure all deliverables and tasks towards the cable consortiums/projects are met on timely and efficient manner such as regular and ad-hoc reports, managing on-site supports, importations processes, site-access for vendors etc.
- To efficiently and effectively co-manage the operation & maintenance aspects of all subsea systems, with other teams to sustain its competitiveness and strategic importance to Company including participation in meetings by the relevant committees in the cable consortium(s) or project(s).
- Responsible for ensuring all billing milestones and invoice payments are met within expected timeline and in compliance with process established within the Company.
- To plan, manage and implement all technical and operational requirements at cable stations to sufficiently support the existing, future upgraded and new cable systems.
- Review for accurate budgetary planning and wisely manage and control of the approved Budget includes ensuring all payments are processed within the most predictable budgeting timeline.
- Ensure relevant agreements or contracts to be reviewed and prepared in timely manner, with full clarity on aspects that may affect the Company's interest and with clear communications to relevant stakeholders in the Company.
- Proactively optimize and reduce costs on an ongoing basis, including internal initiative for cost optimization.
- Work across multiple teams internally to support proposal(s) for new and/or upgrading of submarine cable project for management's considerations to meet business needs.
- Occasionally, to assist Sales teams internally to formulate and establish network solutions for customer.
- All other reasonable tasks required to deliver the role, as the industry landscape and business priorities evolve.
- Active engagement with other departments in the Company such as Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Corporate Office Affairs and others, while delivering and executing tasks described above related to submarine cable systems owned by the Company.
All You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Possess 3 years or more in Subsea or international network experience
- Good level of knowledge about fiber optic technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross functional teams internally and externally, at the international level.
- Capability to correctly understand internal requirements and translate it into network requirements and feasible and actionable items.
- Have experience working with multiple partners and suppliers in different time zones.
- Broad technical knowledge of submarine cable systems will be given advantage.
