Responsibilities
-Supervise daily plantation activities including planting, fertilizing, pruning, spraying, weeding, and harvesting.
-Monitor worker attendance, discipline, and productivity.
-Allocate tasks to field workers and ensure work is completed efficiently.
-Inspect plantation fields regularly to identify pest infestations, diseases, or maintenance issues.
-Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
-Maintain records of field activities, labor, production, and inventory.
-Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
-Coordinate with estate managers, agronomists, and other departments regarding operational requirements.
-Train workers on plantation procedures, safety practices, and operational standards.
-Monitor fertilizer and chemical application according to approved guidelines.
-Assist in implementing productivity improvement initiatives.
-Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Requirements
1. Education & Qualifications
- Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or related field.
- Additional training in farm management or occupational safety is an advantage.
2. Experience
- Minimum 2â€5 years of working experience in plantation or agricultural operations.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
- Experience in crop maintenance, harvesting, and field operations.
3. Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage and motivate field workers.
- Knowledge of plantation practices, fertilizers, pesticides, and harvesting methods.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and record keeping.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
4. Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel within plantation areas.
- Ability to work long hours during peak operational periods.
