Job Description

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring excellent guest service and smooth workflow. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining service quality, handling guest concerns, and coordinating with other hotel departments to enhance the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

Oversee the daily operations of F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and event catering.

Ensure that all areas of service are well-prepared before shifts, including table settings, cleanliness, and staff readiness.

Maintain service standards, ensuring food quality, timely service, and a pleasant dining environment.

Staff Supervision & Training:

Supervise and support F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, and runners, ensuring they are performing their duties efficiently.

Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily priorities, special events, or menu changes.

Assist in staff training on service standards, product knowledge, and guest interaction.

Guest Service:

Ensure that guests receive exceptional service by maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Address guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Assist in taking orders, delivering food, and handling special requests when necessary.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, coordinating with the F&B Manager for replenishment.

Ensure proper handling and storage of food and beverage items to maintain quality and minimize wastage.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all food and beverage operations comply with hotel policies, local health regulations, and safety standards.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining areas, kitchen, and storage spaces.

Conduct regular checks on the condition of F&B equipment and request maintenance as needed.

Coordination with Other Departments:

Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and coordination between the front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Work closely with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, front office, events) to ensure seamless service during functions or special occasions.

Reporting & Administrative Duties:

Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales, guest feedback, and staff performance.

Report any operational issues or concerns to the F&B Manager and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

Event Support:

Assist in the planning and execution of hotel events such as banquets, conferences, and weddings.

Coordinate with the F&B Manager and kitchen staff to ensure successful event delivery, including food service, setup, and breakdown.
