Role Summary:
The Supplier Development Manager (SDM) will be based full-time at the Subang facility and will be responsible for driving supplier performance improvements, ensuring business continuity, and supporting industrial maturity growth through the SQIP/SQID framework. The role requires strong expertise in supply chain and quality methodologies, with a focus on process improvement, supplier engagement and coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier improvement initiatives in line with aerospace SQID framework.
- Conduct supplier performance analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Apply methodologies including Lean, APQP, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and DMAIC to improve supplier processes and reduce variability.
- Support suppliers in developing control plans, capacity planning, and material management.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation (scope, schedules, performance improvement agreements, milestone reviews).
- Coach and train supplier teams to foster ownership and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Director and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organization expectations.
- Provide on-site supplier support, including reporting on risks and progress.
- Travel as required to supplier sites (no travel to engineering company).
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant supply chain, supplier development, or quality improvement experience, preferably within aerospace/industrial manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, Lean, Root Cause Analysis).
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and SAP navigation.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work full-time on site in Subang, with flexibility for occasional hybrid arrangements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
