What Youll Do

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, Specifically, you will possess following skillset:

  • Qualify and develop new suppliers to meet company standards.
  • Manage supplier PPAP process for new product launches, transfers, and resourcing.
  • Oversee production assurance activities, including pre-shipment inspections and process audits.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and corrective action planning (CAP) for supplier issues.
  • Handle internal customer complaints and warranty claims with suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives both internally and with suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits (SQA) and social accountability audits (SA).
  • Track and maintain audit findings and improvements in dedicated databases.
  • Perform pre-shipment and end-of-line audits; issue inspection reports and follow up on CAPs.
  • Conduct in-process (CAPA/compliance) audits on supplier-manufactured items.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality complaints from NCMR/DMR, VOC, and warranty sources.
  • Support ongoing improvement post-product launch and implement engineering changes.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and 6 Sigma project development with suppliers.
  • Guide suppliers on Stanley Black & Decker engineering requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with purchasing, project engineering, and test lab teams to ensure supplier quality compliance.

Who You Are

  • University/ college in Mechanical/ Electronic Engineering related
  • + 3 year working experience in quality control function and new product development
  • Familiar with common international certification (ISO9000, QS9000, IATAF16949, SA8000).
  • Require Audit Skill to conduct Supper Qualification Audit, Sustainability and Social Accountability Audit to the supplier side
  • Be able to Microsoft Office (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK)
  • Fluent English
  • Problem Solving Skill (PDCA, 5W, 8D, Lean 6 Sigma, SPC)
  • Project Management
  • Ability of using SAP, Minitab a plus
