Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) JD

1. Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and qualifications to ensure raw materials and components meet specifications.

2. Collaborate with suppliers to define and enforce quality control requirements for materials.

3. Assist in supplier selection by evaluating potential vendors quality systems.

4. Liaise with internal team in reviewing the incoming material rejection from IQC and production with disposition action and feedback to supplier if rejection proved to be valid.

5. Issue SCAR to supplier non conformance incoming lot and drive the supplier for root cause and corrective action(s) (RCCA) (8D, 5-Whys, FMEA, SPC) to eliminate recurring quality issues.

6. Conduct an investigation and complete justification report on rejection feedback by IQC, production and customer side if the issue is caused by the supplier side.

7. Monitor and drive the Top 3 worst supplier incoming performer for quality improvement projects to enhance material consistency and reliability.

8. Maintain supplier quality records, including audit findings, non-conformance reports (NCRs), supplier corrective action reports (SCARs), and process validation documentation.

9. Perform source inspection for FA customised parts and ensure supplier complete the FAIR submission

10. Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on required knowledge and skills related to quality

11. Track supplier performance indicators (PPM, defect rates, delivery quality, response time, etc.) and report to management.

12. Report all SQE related KPI(s) and other management assigned KPI(s) (a)weekly (b) monthly, to corporate and site facilities.

13. Support to monitor and to drive top 3 high values in the Material Review Board (MRB) lot for closure.

14. As one of the decision-making members in disposing of daily incoming rejected lot.

15. Ensure supplier compliance with customer requirements, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS 9100, IATF 16949, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and other industry standards as required

16. Support internal teams (IQC, Engineering, Production) in understanding supplier quality issues.

17. Support for any customer or third party audit related to IQC & SQE section
