Supplier Quality Engineer

High-performance vehicles rely on flawless components. A leading automotive manufacturer in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive precision, zero-defect standards, and supplier accountability across their regional supply chain.

the job

• Plan and conduct technical process audits during project development and annual cycles to enforce drawing specifications and continuous quality improvement.
• Lead APQP/PPAP documentation, supplier packaging reviews, and trial activities for local and imported parts to ensure mass production readiness.
• Drive cross-functional resolution for supplier quality defects, PDARs, and Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs), ensuring clear technical communication.
• Evaluate monthly and annual supplier Quality metrics to identify risks, track performance trends, and require targeted vendor improvements.
• Partner with Procurement to identify, audit, and onboard new local and overseas suppliers.
• Maintain ISO/IATF quality system documentation and supervise junior quality engineers in executing daily duties.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of supplier quality engineering experience in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Solid knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, ECI, and core quality tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC).
