Your Role
APAC Distributor Market is a Euro 100m multi market business unit covering 8 markets an over 20 customers. This is a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and seamless product delivery. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and production to distribution and logistics, while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Reporting to the SC Head of APAC you will manage a team of 3 based in multiple locations and work with global and regional SC teams to deliver the commercial plans.
Your Key Task
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives that align with the company's business goals and objectives
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accurately and plan production and inventory accordingly.
- Production Planning: work with multiple sourcing units scheduling capacity planning for GDM unit to meet customer demand in line with agreed service levels.
- Distribution and Logistics: Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyse supply chain costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Lead/coordinate implementation of transformational initiatives such as new business development and GTM model change.
- Support the overall Supply Planning agenda to ensure product availability balancing cash, cost and service through optimizing stock levels and reducing business waste and SLOBs.
- Support the full supply plan from production planning to material planning for local and export demand in a manufacturing environment.
- Closely work with the finished goods network of imports and 3PM service providers to fulfil local demand.
- Provide support on the RCCP and orchestrating factory expansion and CAPEX investments for medium to long-term supporting the growth ambition of the business.
- Support the 3PM operations across multiple locations, while reducing internal investments.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in a complex Supply Chain environment and a proven leadership track record in at least 2 of the following functional areas within an international organization: manufacturing, planning and/or logistics.
- Demonstrated depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain (Plan, Make, Source, Deliver, Quality).
- Effective interdependent and proactive partnering with key stakeholders of Regional E2E Supply Chain functions and commercial partners, and global Supply Chain organization.
- Ability to lead with limited authority and provide direction and drive positive change, with end-to-end and enterprise mindset.
- Ability to drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Ability to coach and develop talents and elevate organizational capabilities.
- University level degree, usually in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering, required – with Master's preferred.
- Proven experience in FMCG or packaged goods industry and/or strategic and supply chain consulting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective interpersonal skills including negotiations and managing multiple stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer centric worldview with a keen desire to learn how GDM operates in markets
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management is a plus
