We help Southeast Asia's retailers, manufacturers, and 3PLs design warehouses that actually work. That means messy real-world problems — a DC bursting at the seams, a pick rate that's collapsing, an MHE quote that came in at 2× budget, a growth plan that needs three new buildings in two years. We figure it out, then draw it, model it, cost it, and help them build it.

We're hiring a consultant to join our KL team.

What the work looks like

Some weeks you'll be on a warehouse floor at 7am with a clipboard, watching how pickers really move (vs how the SOP says they do). Other weeks you'll be at your desk pulling 12 months of transaction data out of the client's WMS, turning it into SKU velocity charts, laying out options in SketchUp, and building a slide deck the client will sign off on. You'll run RFQs with racking and MHE vendors, facilitate workshops with operations teams, and write the meeting minutes that keep projects from drifting.

A fair bit of the work also lives between operations and systems — gathering requirements from users, writing test scripts, sitting in on UAT, and translating between the warehouse team and the IT team when they're talking past each other. You don't need to be a systems specialist, but you do need to be the kind of person who can hold a conversation in both directions.

You'll be a generalist on purpose. The thing that ties it together is walking into ambiguous situations and turning them into clear answers.

Who we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience — could be supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, ops consulting, 3PL, retail DC, manufacturing, business analysis, or something adjacent we haven't thought of. We care more about how you think than what's on your CV.

You probably:

• Pick up tools fast (such as Excel, Powerpoint, Simulation Software, PowerBI, AI tools, SketchUp — none of these need to be on your CV today)
• Are comfortable extracting and interrogating data from systems you've never seen before, and equally comfortable sitting with users to work out what they actually need
• Are comfortable saying I don't know yet, but I'll find out by Thursday
• Like talking to forklift operators and supervisors as much as client managers and IT leads
• Read the brief, then re-read it, then ask the question nobody else asked
• Can write a one-pager a busy executive will actually read
• Are self-disciplined and able to manage workload and deadlines without close supervision
• Respond quickly and communicate clearly through email, calls, and chat
• Take initiative when things are unclear instead of waiting to be told what to do
• Are organised and structured, able to juggle multiple projects, keep documentation tidy, and stay on top of meeting minutes, reports, and deliverables
• Can coordinate effectively across operations, consultants, vendors, and IT teams without letting things slip through the cracks

You don't need a specific degree or warehouse design experience specifically. If you've thought hard about how things flow — products, people, information, and data — we'd like to talk.

Variety. You'll work across grocery, e-commerce, cold chain, manufacturing, automation, greenfield DCs, brownfield retrofits. Travel across Malaysia and occasionally Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia. You'll work alongside senior consultants who've actually run supply chains — not just consulted on them — and get real responsibility quickly.

LCA Savills sits inside the Savills group, a global firm with serious clients, but our KL team operates with the energy of a much smaller outfit.
