Responsibilities & Duties:
To assist the Senior Executive in the following areas:
- Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
- Source materials, goods, products, and services, and negotiate the most competitive and costeffective contracts and deals.
- Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders as required.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers upon approval from the superior or Manager.
- Enter order details (e.g., vendor information, quantities, pricing) into internal systems accurately and timely.
- Maintain updated records of all purchased items, delivery schedules, and invoices.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel(s) to ensure stock accuracy for all incoming shipments and orders.
- Perform inventory inspections or investigations in cases of quality or quantity discrepancies.
- Report faulty items or inconsistencies to suppliers immediately, if identified.
- Update and maintain complete documentation of all orders, payments, and received stock.
- Liaise with forwarding agents or warehouse PIC for all incoming shipments.
- Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays, rescheduled orders, or shipment issues with suppliers and the project team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the superior or Manager.
Requirements:
Academic Qualification:
- At least a Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
Experiences:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing and logistics planning.
- Candidates with purchasing and logistics planning experience will be given priority.
- Strong in planning and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
- Able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
