Your Role
The Supply Chain Finance APAC is responsible for end-to-end cost controlling, inventory governance, and operational finance activities across APAC markets (including Malaysia, China & Vietnam) managed through third-party manufacturing (3PM), tolling, and turnkey operating models.
The role ensures accurate product costing, co-manufacturing cost governance, inventory reporting, logistics cost control, month-end close activities, and compliance with internal and local requirements.
In addition to core controlling responsibilities, the position plays a strategic role in supporting sourcing decisions, import/export flows, supplier network optimization, contract manufacturing performance, and supply chain transformation initiatives to improve service, resilience, and profitability.
This role provides strong business partnering support to the Global Supply Chain Finance Business Partner and acts as a key finance advisor to procurement, logistics, commercial, and external manufacturing partners across the region.
Your Key Task
1. Costing & Product Cost Control
- Manage product costing requests and approvals across APAC markets.
- Perform costing analysis for tolling, turnkey, and imported products.
- Review and validate forecast and Business Plan costing assumptions.
- Monitor inflation, supplier price changes, and manufacturing conversion costs.
- Share Transfer Pricing (TP) data with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and documentation of all costing activities.
2. Third-Party Manufacturing (3PM) Finance Control
- Review monthly charges from co-manufacturers and tollers.
- Validate manufacturing fees, material usage, and conversion costs.
- Monitor supplier performance versus contracts and budget assumptions.
- Support negotiations through financial analysis of external manufacturing models.
- Ensure proper controls over tolling and turnkey arrangements.
3. Inventory & Business Waste
- Prepare inventory provisions, waste forecasts, and slow-moving stock analysis.
- Review stock reconciliations with warehouses, 3PLs, and external manufacturers.
- Analyse stock count variances and investigate root causes.
- Deliver monthly inventory reports with risks and insights.
- Support inventory governance across markets.
4. Month-End Closing (MEC) & Cost Control
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications related to supply chain costs.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close across APAC markets.
- Review actual costs versus forecast for manufacturing, freight, warehousing, and duties.
- Support balance sheet reconciliations related to inventory and supply chain accounts.
5. Logistics & Import / Export Cost Control
- Prepare freight, warehousing, and distribution accruals.
- Perform monthly P&L updates for logistics costs.
- Analyse freight, customs duty, demurrage, and transport variances.
- Support optimization of inbound and outbound supply chain flows.
- Partner with teams on import/export cost efficiency initiatives.
6. FP&A Support
- Perform COGS analysis and forecasting across APAC markets.
- Support monthly forecast, quarterly outlook, and annual planning cycles.
- Provide scenario modelling on sourcing changes, inflation, and volume shifts.
- Support local finance teams with supply chain cost insights.
7. Business Partnering & Strategic Projects
- Prepare financial business cases for new suppliers, pack changes, sourcing moves, and network redesign.
- Support procurement and operations teams with cost insights for decision-making.
- Drive productivity, savings, and working capital initiatives.
- Support transformation and continuous improvement programs.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in supply chain finance, controlling, or FMCG finance.
- Strong understanding of:
- Product costing
- Co-manufacturing / 3PM models
- Inventory accounting
- Logistics and landed cost structures
- Import / export finance flows
- SAP knowledge preferred (CO, MM, FI).
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI preferred.
- Strong analytical and business partnering skills.
- Experience working across multiple APAC markets.
- Proactive, hands-on, and execution-focused profile.
