Position Overview
The SCM Manager of the Malaysia subsidiary is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain, including OEM production, and export operations, while acting as a control tower connecting distributors, OEM partners, headquarters, and the APAC organization. In a structure where the company does not directly hold inventory, this role leads the full execution of OEM production, export, and supply operations based on demand secured by the sales team. At the same time, the SCM Manager is responsible for establishing early-stage SCM processes and stabilizing the organization.
1) OEM Production & Material Management (Core)
Manage OEM production schedules and delivery timelines
Develop and monitor production plans based on demand forecasts
Indirectly manage raw and packaging material supply status and respond to risks
Directly manage LTO (Limited Time Offer) and specific product packaging materials
Collaborate with OEMs and relevant teams to resolve production and quality issues
2) Export Operations Management (Core KPI Area)
Oversee export operations for Middle East, APAC and new markets
Manage integrated production-shipment schedules and volume allocation per export order
Manage export documentation and certification processes (e.g., Halal, Health Certificate, Cerificate of Origin etc.)
Handle country-specific regulatory requirements and shipment issues
Lead one export operations staff member (focused on documentation and scheduling)
3) SCM Process Building & Operational Enhancement
Standardize and build SCM processes in an unstructured operating environment
Design and stabilize end-to-end export-focused SCM processes
Establish supply risk management systems
Manage key KPIs (export fulfillment rate, on-time delivery, lead time, etc.)
4) Distributor-Based Supply Operations Management
Develop supply execution plans based on orders secured by the sales team
Collaborate with distributors on purchase orders, supply schedules, and inventory levels
Coordinate and resolve supply issues with distributors and internal teams
Ensure supply responsiveness to demand fluctuations
5) Cross-functional Collaboration
Communicate supply plans and issues with headquarters and APAC regional teams
Work closely with Sales and Marketing for demand-driven supply execution
Lead collaboration with external partners such as distributors, OEMs, and logistics providers
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in SCM, logistics, or procurement
Experience in export, OEM production, and import supply chain operations
Proven experience managing complex supply chains involving distributors + OEM + export operations
Ability to handle both hands-on execution and team leadership
Strong English communication skills (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food or FMCG industry
Experience with Halal certification and export compliance
Experience in SCM process building or organizational setup
Experience with ERP/SAP or data-driven(Excel skill) operations
