Job Description
As a Supply Chain Manager, you play a crucial role in partnering with suppliers and global Rapid's supplier chain management teams. You will drive operational excellence by developing, executing and managing sourcing & procurement initiatives with the goal of improving Rapid's responsiveness to customer demands. Your data-driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement from the suppliers to Rapid's warehouses. This position is located in Kulim, Kedah.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Supply Chain Management:
- Help to drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within the global supply chain
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and material control systems in the SCM organization to improve overall performance
- Identify and analyze process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
- Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, and planning of production materials
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of existing processes and systems and make necessary changes in all factories
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
- Perform detailed business analysis, develop and present insights and solutions for the Supply Chain Management team that drive operational excellence
- Create and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturing sites, and internal customers that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied
- Act as an escalation point for internal stakeholders for material escalations and delivery improvements for all global factories
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Organization to understand the state of the supply base, and work with them to assess readiness for ramp, navigate throughout the ramps up/down, and other operational complexities to meet Rapid's needs
- Administer and monitor global customers inventory stocking agreements for components with supply chain team, suppliers and customers (contractual terms, including minimum stock levels, pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements)
- Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, supplier & customer managed inventory) & manufacturing strategies driving lead-time efforts
- Work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problem to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements
- Define and monitor metrics in line with the SCM objectives relative to lead times, price, order fulfillment, and inventory of production materials
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Ten (10) years of experience in Supply Chain (sourcing, procurement, materials planner, etc.)
- At least six (6) years in a managerial role
- Experience in managing global teams in a highly dynamic environment
- Experience in Exploratory data Analysis using Excel, SQL/Python, Power BI, etc
- Experience with Supply Chain procurement and capacity assessment processes – an understanding of medium and long-term planning, assessment, and methodology is critical SCM Operations
- Demonstrated experience working successfully in a matrix organization
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience with High mix – low volume products

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial engineering or similar
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills - Macros, Pivot Tables, Data Lookup/Indexing, Dashboards
- Ability to lead, manage and influence a global team with members located at all Rapid Manufacturing factory locations
