Job Scope
- Review or update supply chain practices in accordance to new or changing environmental policies, standards regulations or laws.
- Asses appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move or store materials.
- Negotiate price and terms with suppliers, vendors or freight forwarders;
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback or to discuss production forecast or changes.
- Develop and implement procedures to evaluate or select suppliers.
- Design and develop plant warehousing strategies for production materials or finished products.
- Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials.
- Analyse inventories to determine how to decrease inventory stock and to adopt LIFO principles.
- Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, materials requirements, planning inventory control, warehousing or receiving.
- Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as Sales & marketing, production, finance or quality assurance.
- Design or implement supply chain that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities or cost reduction strategies.
- Implement new or new supply chain processes.
Requirement
- Degree and above with relevant years of experience in manufacturing.
- Salary: Up to RM15,000 (Stretchable depending on experience)
