As a Supply Planner II here at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our supply chain operations for aerospace technologies. Leveraging your expertise in supply chain management and experience in supply planning, you will spearhead the development and implementation of strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand.
You will report directly to our Lead Supply planner, and you'll work out of our Perai, Pulau Pinang location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations. By orchestrating the development and implementation of strategic supply chain initiatives, you will optimize inventory levels and seamlessly meet customer demand. Your role in collaborating with cross-functional teams will ensure accurate demand forecasting and performance monitoring, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the SBG COE team as the SME for your business to drive standard processes and ensure adherence to the Honeywell Global Design Model for Supply/Inventory Planning.
- Lead the monthly planning cycle for all your sites and network planning ensuring finished goods supply and inventory plans achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
- Support and drive a positive working environment and culture of continuous improvement throughout your organization.
- Liaison of cross functions such as planning, operations and quality
- Ensure timely material ordering, solve material related problems.
- Escalate shortage and potential shortages
- Recognize implications of problems and gaps to the plan (SIOP) and accurately communicate/escalate
- Liaison between cross-functional departments such as Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing
- Quickly identify issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
- Responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and development within all levels of the operation
- Challenge current manufacturing strategies to ensure that the best process and most customer-oriented strategies are being utilized
- Computing and analyzing key metrics: Inventory accuracy, safety stock, customer on-time delivery (OTTR/OTFP/PLND), and drive root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
Responsibilities
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- 2+ years of experience in Demand Planning, operations planning/scheduling, materials management or other Sales Inventory and Operations Planning related functional areas.
- Proficiency with Demand or Supply Planning tools (e.g. SAP module, Servigistics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate to advanced skill-level in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems.
- Experience with Kinaxis/RapidResponse supply and inventory planning tools.
- Experience materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
- Project management and problem-solving skills
