Job Summary
As a Supply Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring product availability to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and supply chain efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Demand Planning, Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Sales to align supply strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply & Inventory Planning
- Develop and maintain mid- to long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment strategies to avoid stock-outs or excess.
- Oversee storage and handling of inventory and materials to ensure optimal flow and availability.
2. Forecasting & Scenario Planning
- Assess demand forecasts and translate them into actionable supply and production plans.
- Predict demand-impacting factors such as seasonality or marketing campaigns.
- Participate actively in S&OP processes, including supply review preparation and scenario planning.
3. Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Engage in negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Production, Logistics, Procurement) to align supply needs and objectives.
4. Risk Management & Process Improvement
- Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Propose and drive improvements in inventory and supply chain processes.
- Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and generate reports for management.
- Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel; experience with planning tools like Blue Yonder, IBP, or Kinaxis is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and tools like Tableau is advantageous.
