Job Description

Job Summary

As a Supply Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring product availability to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and supply chain efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Demand Planning, Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Sales to align supply strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply & Inventory Planning

  • Develop and maintain mid- to long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment strategies to avoid stock-outs or excess.
  • Oversee storage and handling of inventory and materials to ensure optimal flow and availability.

2. Forecasting & Scenario Planning

  • Assess demand forecasts and translate them into actionable supply and production plans.
  • Predict demand-impacting factors such as seasonality or marketing campaigns.
  • Participate actively in S&OP processes, including supply review preparation and scenario planning.

3. Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Engage in negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Production, Logistics, Procurement) to align supply needs and objectives.

4. Risk Management & Process Improvement

  • Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Propose and drive improvements in inventory and supply chain processes.
  • Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and generate reports for management.
  • Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel; experience with planning tools like Blue Yonder, IBP, or Kinaxis is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems and tools like Tableau is advantageous.
